This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to announce that the Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA) will be publishing a Call for Tenders (CfT) for the procurement of a Web Application and API Protection (WAAP) tool as part of the enhanced user experience monitoring initiative. The user experience shall be enhanced through better content availability, increased reliability, and advanced protection mechanisms.

The aim of this tool is to:
1) Provide a unified approach to security of web applications and API protection services.
2) Protect against malicious activity such as DDoS attacks and malicious bots.
3) Increase user’s experience through performance and security monitoring.

This open tender shall be established by quarter 2 of 2023.

Interested Economic Operators are encouraged to visit https://procurement.mita.gov.mt/ in order to sign up for further details on this and other procurement activities undertaken by MITA. They can also register their interest for this particular procurement activity by the Form found below.

Interested Economic Operators are reminded that MITA publishes its call for tenders on Malta’s electronic Public Procurement System (ePPS - https://www.etenders.gov.mt). Interested operators should therefore ensure that they have an active account on ePPS. This will allow for faster familiarization of the ePPS and will also allow the setting up of email notifications on tenders of interest. More information on how to register and use ePPS is available in the Help and FAQ files available on the same platform.
