The Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA) is announcing the publication of a Call for Tenders (CFT) in Quarter 1 of 2024 for the procurement of Microsoft licenses (Perpetual and Subscription) and Services over a period of three (3) years.

This CfT will also cover the renewal of Software Assurance, Subscription licenses and Microsoft Azure Services. The scope of this CfT is for MITA, on behalf of the Government of Malta continue operating with a central procurement framework with one authorised Microsoft Licensing Solution Partner (LSP).

This central procurement framework will facilitate the procurement of additional Microsoft licenses (Perpetual &Subscription) renewing the right to benefit on the current Government licensing landscape, and Microsoft Azure Services for the next 3 years including:

  • renewal of Software Assurance for desktop perpetual licenses.
  • renewal of Software Assurance for server perpetual licenses.
  • renewal of subscription licenses and Services fees.
  • Services of MS Azure.

The estimated budget of this tender shall be in excess of €30 million excluding VAT.

Prospective tenderers are to note that this procurement call shall be considered as a Negotiated Procedure.
